| During the use of asphalt pavement, due to the increasing traffic volume, some harmful conditions will emerge unavoidably such as loose, pot hole, peeling etc, which will affect the service level of the pavement greatly. As a new-developing material for mending pot hole of pavement home and abroad in recent years, cold patch asphalt mixture has many advantages, including free of season, constructed conveniently, instantly available, less pollution etc, so that it is widely adopted. Nevertheless, there is just a short period of time after cold patch asphalt mixture starts to develop, so there is no relatively perfect evaluation system and experimental methods yet home and abroad. Therefore, current cold patch asphalt mixture has some shortcomings generally, such as low initial stability, bad water resistance, poor performance under high temperature etc, which hinders its own development.To address present problems mentioned above, In the thesis consequences are as follows: Firstly, through the contrastive study among five cold patch asphalt modifiers, SMC modifier has been selected, which possesses features including high stability, nice water stability, better crack resistance under low temperature etc. Secondly, through the comparative study of LB-10, AC-10, LP-10, AM-10, SAC-10, these five gradation type of cold patch asphalt mixture, the effects of different mineral aggregate gradation to cold patch asphalt mixture has been analyzed. It is concluded that suitable gradation type should be selected under different conditions. LP-10 gradation type has been chosen for experiments in the thesis, and dense skeleton type matches cold patch asphalt mixture best. Thirdly, through the analysis of the principle of cold patch asphalt mixture strength forming, the initial stability, forming stability, water stability, workability, high temperature stability, low temperature performance as well as other road use performance technology of SMC cold patch asphalt mixture have been studied. Also, the evaluation methods and indicators have been proposed. Fourthly, the porosity and clearance rate of cold patch asphalt mixture have been observed through CT non-damage scanner, so as to learn the microcosmic performance of cold patch asphalt mixture. |
