Research Of Diesel Locomotive Controller

With the development of electronics and microcomputer control techniques,the microcomputer control system for diesel-electric locomotive has been paid special attention to.Microcomputer control system for diesel-electric locomotive has been widely used abroad,and been adopted on some domestic types.And it will become an important field of the development of diesel-electric locomotives.The successful experiences of the microcomputer control system of DF6 series which was developed together with GE Company and the great creative measures which has been adopted make ADLC become a successful product quickly.DLC is a multifuctional real-time control system based on the CPU Intel 87C196.Because the hardware and the software are both opening designed,it could be used widely.The main functions of DLCinclude diesel engine speed controlling,constant power controlling, auxiliary generator controlling(voltage regulator),field weakening controlling,and asynchronous communication.With these excellent functions ADLC could not only realize constant power controlling throughout the full speed scope, but also improve the traction performance of locomotive, In additon it could substitute for many individual devices such as the voltage regulator,driving power for stepper motor,field weakening control device,etc. Because of these excellent performances the control system for locomotive could be simplified by using ADLC.First of all,in order to comprehend the ADLC, the motor and the principle of electric transmission of DF4 B series diesel locomotive are introduced at the beginning of the article.Then,the hardware architecture of ADLC is discussed including the mainframe,signal conditioning module.the main function and the principle of control system are introduced. The control principle includes excitation control principle for constant power,110 V auxiliary generator control principle,diesel engine speed control principle,the technical parameters of ADLC and the means of maintenance are introduced.Finally, To find out the ADLC internal problems can be through in this paper, the DLC test rig for testing improves the visual for the maintenance of diesel locomotive controller board make maintenance personnel more quickly find the point of failure.
