With the development of technology,more and more perceptual loads are used in the power grid, and the technology of reactive power compensation has been widely used in the power grid. Up to now, a lot of large capacity static reactive compensation device are applied to the large steel mills and mines, and technology is also very mature. Fewer applications in urban and rural power grid for its larger capacity and higher prices. Use the composite switch to switch the capacitor to compensate the reactive power, but it cannot realize the dynamic compensation, due to the use of composite switch cutting, it has low reliability. To these shortcomings the dissertation puts forward a kind of TCR and intelligent capacitor module of small capacity reactive compensation device, the device combines a small and intelligent and have important significance for urban and rural power grid.The dissertation analyses the theory of the reactive compensation device, a detailed study of the compensation principle of TCR and intelligent capacitor module and TCR+intelligent capacitor module, and designs a static reactive compensation device which can be used in the 380 V of low voltage network. Comparing the control strategy of reactive compensation, points out their respective advantages and disadvantages, and chose the best one. Detailed analysis of the instantaneous reactive power theory and three-phase unbalanced load compensation based on the principle Steinmetz principle, and establishes a calculation model of compensation susceptance.Second, the dissertation designs the hardware and software of the reactive compensation controller based on master control chip DSP2812,and completes the circuit design of its hardware module such as the currents and voltage collection, liquid crystal display and key processing, data storage, RS485 communication, alarming,frequency acquisition, and pulse trigger. The software includes power factor and collection, switch control module, data storage module and communication module.Finally, using SIMULINK of the MATLAB to build SVC simulation model which include TCR module and intelligent capacitor module, by setting a reasonable simulation parameters to get the ideal simulation waveform. The experimental verification, the design of reactive power compensation device is reasonable and high reliability can meet the requirements of low voltage reactive power compensation and has practical application value.
