With the acceleration of urbanization, urban heat island effect is also becoming more serious, reason with radiant heat building walls have great relations. Thus increasing the vertical green building facades, not only to beautify the urban landscape, but also help to reduce the urban heat island effect. In this study, the status quo Changsha facade vertical greening investigation and vine vegetables as vertical green building facade materials were relevant tests, delve into cultivation techniques and methods of vertical green facade, the main findings are as follows:1.For a sample survey Changsha facade vertical greening found only in62samples surveyed14buildings have vertical greening,22.6%of the total survey sample point. According to the construction segment of its residential construction has vertical green the most, accounting for34.8%; followed by public buildings, the minimum number of commercial buildings. According to a survey of regional points, Yuhua District has vertical green building facades and more than any other four regions, accounting for35.8%.2.Explore vine vegetables as a vertical green facade material temperature resistance, select loofah and lentils as both the north facade vertical green building materials, tests showed that the two plants could have some normal flowering and yield, and loofah than lentils adaptability stronger growth, more heat than lentils. Two kinds of vine vegetables are suitable as a vertical green facade material.3. When the gourd and lentils as a vertical green facade materials were observing18:00,15:00,12:00and9:00the four time periods of cooling and humidification effect around the building facade, the results show a significant cooling effect and18:00The maximum temperature difference, and the humidifier is not obvious. At18:00,15:00,12:00and9:00loofah average cooling were2.1℃,0.9℃,0.6℃and0.7℃; while lentils at18:00,15:00,12:00, and the average cooling9:00respectively1.6℃,0.4℃,0.2℃and0.3℃; data it is clear that the cooling effect is stronger than loofah lentils and18:00of the cooling effect of the two plants most obvious.Vertical greening facades vine vegetables is feasible, it is not only decorated the facade of the building of a better urban environment, but also on building facades have humidification cooling effect, will help alleviate the urban heat island effect.
