ATP (Automatic Train Protection) is used to improve train operation efficiency and secure driving safety in the rail transportation equipment field. It is a typically safety-critical system and its safety, reliability requirements are very stringent. In order to facilitate on-site tests and make the tests targeted, a fault detection system for ATP secure Com-Board (Communication Board) was proposed. The system was combined with GPRS wireless communication and other relevant functions of existing ATP tester, and also based on the probability of fault tree events occurrence and the communication process of Com-Board. The main work is as follows:(1) The study and research methods of the system were determined. By selecting communication board fault detection methods, FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) was chose. And FTA was combined with the communication mechanism of Com-Board to design a method to locate fault reasons.(2) The CBTS(Communication Board Test System) based on FTA was proposed. The overall requirements analysis and design of CBTS were completed including the requirements and design of PC software for remote monitoring and recording and the hardware and software of slave Com-Test Board(Communication Test Board).(3) C#was used for PC software interface design and implementation.Its functions includes:GPRS wireless communication and data analysis using Udpclient class and multithreading according to the communication protocol with the ATP tester; real-time display of tested results and testing process were achieved using delegate; data is stored in the corresponding sheet of selected Excel file using COM component, and testing process is stored in the corresponding txt file using file stream.(4) Software and hardware of Com-Test Board were achieved. For hardware, Com-Test Board was designed and drew using Altium Designer on demand. For Software, functions of Com-Test Board were achieved using CCS3.3, its functions includes:POST(Power On SelfTest) of DSP RAM and Flash; information exchanged with ATP tester in accordance with their protocol; reading the ID information from DS2431on tested Com-Board using1-Wire bus signaling; module level fault location by combining failure analysis results with the communication mechanism of Com-Board.Finally, the joint debugging of the detection system verifies that the approach is feasible and the detection system is available.In this paper, there are68figures,16tables and91references.
