The Research Of Intercourse Space Design For The Aged People In Tropical Residential

Aging populations are becoming a development trend for every country in the world. The problems caused by the aged have drawn a wide attention of people from all circles of life. Due to the specialty of our country’s economy and population policies with the specialty of the traditional views, the current model of caring for the aged people is family support for primary pattern under the condition of the imperfection of the facilities for the elders. However, nowadays with residential commercialization, designs of the living conditions and communication space have a lot of disadvantages, especially when used to improve the strategies aiming to solve the aging populations they become comparatively imperfect and also ignored the climate difference, which deeply limits older people’s social activities.So, this thesis analyzes how to create a living space which can improve old people’s communication through doing a survey of the current situation of the communication space in the tropical residence area and old people’s requirements to communicate, through analyzing the characters of the communication from different kinds of old people. Hoping the elders can enjoy their old age in their familiar environment and feel the caring from the society.Firstly, the paper make a general introduction to the background, and teases out the current situation of the related researches and theories at home and abroad, seeking for the valuable part. Then we using the methods of questionnaire, interview, observation and taking photos on the spot to conduct the survey about the elders in some areas of the tropical region, to analyze the local older people’s requirement of inhabiting and communicating, then summarize the current problems exiting among the communication spaces in the tropical living areas. At the same time, it draws lessons from the research results of the psychology and sociology, studies the old people’s communication characters from different levels of age, different family structures, summarize the space character of older people’s communication with people from different levels of age. The paper also analyze the specialty of older people’s communication character. Base on the analysis of the previous chapters, it comprehensively interprets the strategies from the macroscopic perspective to microcosmic perspective, public to private, from the outside, transitional and inside spaces. Finally, the paper concerns the application of the research result in specific projects.
