In recent years, as the requirements of world environmental protection is becoming more and more strictly, and the need for building green city, besides the hazy weather issue is increasing severely,Beijing government has made the energetic strategy, which is to use gas turbine to supply heat and power for the city.Based on this, Beijing power grid will be the first super gas-turbine-only-grid in China, and it is also rare in the world.The gas consumption of gas-turbine-only-grid accounts for almost half of gas consumption of Beijing per year. To find the optimized way to dispatch gas turbine units could help to decrease the whole gas consumption of Beijing. Thus how to optimize the way of dispatching the grid has become the major issue for energy management of Beijing government.There are two gas turbines, which are produced by two different manufactures would be used as study objects in this paper. One is GE gas turbine from Jingyang thermal power plant and the other one is SIEMENS gas turbine from Jingqiao thermal power plant. By analyzing the two units performance and running data, we could get relationship curve between units load and running energy consumption. Additionally, the study of energy saving and environmental protection based on high or low load of units and peak load dispatching would also be included. And at the end of the paper,suggestions for ways of optimized dispatching of gas-turbine-only-grid would be proposed. They can be used in practical grid dispatching.
