Being the effective way to solve the problem of shortage of land resources, super high-rise buildings is becoming more and more popular to states builders. High-rise buildings built all over the world has been higher and higher, such as Canada’s Absolute Tower at a height of 170 meters, Shanghai Tower at a height of 632 meters, Shenzhen ping’ an financial tower at a height of 660 meters, The Harry tower at a height of 828 meters and so on. The framework core tube structure, however, is the most used structure of many high-rise buildings. The increase of building height must lead the weakness of the structural lateral stiffness. Commonly used and effective method to solve the key problems to add some strengthening layers at the top and central of the structure, which changes the force transferring path in the original structure and stiffness distribution that will inevitably bring some problems. In this paper, the performance of frame core tube structure of enhancement layer of steel truss was studied deeply in order to provide reference for similar structure design in the practical engineering.Based on the simplified practical engineering project, 10 models of 4 kinds were established. Specific models are the followings: no strengthening layer model, strengthening layer model with outriggers(with one outrigger, two outriggers and three outriggers),models with belts truss reinforcement layer(the same as above), and with the outriggers and belts truss reinforcement layer(the same as above).Earthquake of the structure was calculated with the modal response spectrum method and the structural response under various conditions was calculated with finite element analysis software.
