Electricity industry is the fundamental industry of the national economy, as a major energy sector, it plays a very important role in the economic development. Safe and stable power supply refers to all aspects of social production, and power grid infrastructure maintenance system is vital to improve the security and reliability of power supply and whole power system stability. Along with the development of green and strong power grid, management of the power grid equipment level has put forward higher requirements. Traditional maintenance model that repair when fault has not applicable, so condition-based maintenance become inevitable development trend of electric power enterprise equipment maintenance mode at home and abroad. State evaluation is the premise of carrying out condition-based maintenance work effectively. However, existing large electrical equipment such as transformer, switch state evaluation theory and practice research is relatively mature and lack of cable state evaluation research. Evaluating cable running state effectively is advantageous to the scientific analysis of cable aging state and aging degree and it can provide the basis for promptly cable maintenance, guarantee the timely work of state overhaul, save maintenance cost, prolong the service life of the cable to a certain extent and improve the economic benefit of power grid operation.After reading a lot of literature and a detailed investigation of the power supply enterprise, based on the main contents are as follows. First of all, using relevant methods evaluate the selected cable sample aging state from thermal influence factors, electrical factors influencing and mechanical influence factors three aspects, and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to evaluate the overall aging status of cable sample. Secondly, based on technical, strategic and economic principles, residual life evaluation method including simplified method and detailed method is constructed assessing remaining service life of the cable sample and reliability and validity of the method is validated. Finally, a set of cable evaluation management system based on condition-based maintenance including cable state evaluation organization system, responsibility system, process system, control system and information management system is built, which hopes to provide reference for the scientific cable status evaluation and improve economic benefits of power enterprises.
