In recent years, with the speeding up of urbanization and the increasing shortage of land resources, shear wall structure has become the mainstream in the high-rise residential structure. Owing to its good space entirety, large lateral stiffness, and superior seismic performance advantages, shear wall structure is widely used in residential constructions. Because of the large investment and long construction period of high-rise shear wall structure residence, many designers just design to meet the requirements of specifications blindly, without the reasonable control over the stiffness of the structure. Therefore, the optimal design for high-rise residential shear wall structure has the vital practical significance.According to the bottom shear method, for high-rise shear wall structure, the assigned level forces from the layers decrease gradually from bottom to top along the layers, thus there will be fewer required components to resist lateral forces. The reduction of components can also reduce the gravity load central value of the building and reduce the seismic level of the building, not only improving the seismic characteristics of structure but also saving materials costs. Therefore, the optimization study for the shear wall structure has a high practical application value.Taking the shear wall structure residence as the research object, based on the principles to decrease the sizes of cross sections of structural elements along the layers from the bottom up in accordance with the relevant specification, using STAWE software, with a completed design of high-rise residential shear wall structure as the example, this thesis has accomplished the structural optimization design according to the above principles.The main contents of work include the following:Based on the principles to decrease the sizes of cross sections of structural elements along the layers from the bottom up in accordance with the relevant specification, the structure is designed to decrease the shear wall limb length from the bottom up, to decrease shear wall thickness from the bottom up, and to reduce shear wall limb for optimal design with the frequently-used STAWE software in China for calculation, comparing the dynamic performance, deformation characteristics and internal force characteristics of the structure before and after optimization.Using finite element analysis software PUSH&EPDA from the aspect of static elastoplastic analysis, the original structure and bottom-up shear wall limb length structure are analyzed under severe earthquake, comparing and analyzing from the aspects of the demand for interlayer displacement angle, corresponding performance point displacement, displacement angle, shear strain and structure rod end plastic state etc.Several proposals are provided on the economic analysis of the dosage of steel bars and concrete of the model before and after the optimization and the structural optimization measures.
