The Research On Plant Landscape Design For Xiang River’s Urban Waterfront At Xiangtan

Along with the development of National Urbanization in recent years, all sectors of society have formed consensus on urbanization, the development of the modern cit y should focus on qualities such as urban environment, natural landscapes, quality of 1 ife, quality of residents and others factors that enhance the comprehensive quality. Ur ban waterfront space not only provides a natural platform to residents, but also let resi dents stay away from the crowded, tense, high-pressure life in the city. Waterfront spa ce is the scarce land resources, which provides urban life, social networking, leisure v enues, and the waterfront environment also allow the urban residents to have fun in th eir daily life and enjoy the beauty of life.The topic mainly takes the plant landscape of urban waterfront as research object, meanwhile, it contains landscape ecology, environmental psychology, landscape aest hetics and "blue road" "green road" theories as well, which is on the research basis of urban waterfront both at home and abroad. To analyze the reasons why the flood contr ol has conflict with landscape engineering, why our project don’t fit into the culture, a nd to analyze the phenomena that lacking of material studying and pursuing quantity r ather than quality, I have adopted a great many approaches, for instance, consulting lit erature materials, field inspection and studying cases. In addition, working on the feat ures of urban waterfront plants and putting forward effective rules and measures to cr eate waterfall landscapes also matters a lot. Focuses not only should be put on the prin ciples such as diversity, safety, ecology and integrity, but also should pay attention on the conditions to choose plant materials. Besides the former two parts, we can get rea sonable and ecologically aesthetic waterfall landscapes through the sensible matching among plant space, groups, colours and lines, most unforgettably, matching with the c ity design.The plant sight around the river of Xiangtan city is built on the above theories an d methods. According to the study on history condition and construction condition, th e project is defined as theme park for its history. The highlight of the park is the philo sophy, which covers a lot of red culture in it. On the premise of flood control, it can d esign the waterfall landscape and promote scientific, creative and practical ideas, whic h on the one hand instruct the project, on the other hand, it is of great meaning to bette r the city appeal, reflect the city image, and drive the city to all-round development.
