Application Of Msr's Culture In Urban Waterfront Landscape Design

Since General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the Belt and Road Initiative in 2013,the 21 st Century New Maritime Silk Road(MSR)has received multi-faceted attention and its cultural influence has been continuously enhanced.As the starting point of the MSR,Quanzhou plays an active role in inheriting the culture and shaping the urban image of MSR brand.The waterfront area embodying the urban cultural spirit is the gateway and window of a city.However,affected by the cultural convergence caused by global integration,the waterfront landscape of Chinese cities blindly pursues the modernization and neglects the cultural connotation so that its regional features and cultural charm are not obvious.Through the design and research of MSR's culture in the city's waterfront landscape,it aims to explore the methods and strategies for culturally guiding the design of waterfront landscape,and to rationally protect and utilize the city's historical culture and local characteristics in this paper,which shapes the urban brand image and enhance the cultural soft power.Therefore,the MSR's culture is regarded as the research orientation of urban waterfront landscape.Based on contextual continuity,critical regionalism,place spirit,environmental behavior and semiotic theory,research methods,such as literature review,data collection and induction,the combination theory and practice,are adopted in this paper.The Quanzhou MSR's culture and urban waterfront landscape are taken as the research object.The design of MSR's culture in the urban waterfront landscape is discussed.Firstly,the literature research method is adopted to comprehensively and systematically sort out the concept of MSR's culture and urban waterfront landscape,and the development studies of relevant fields at home and abroad.The data collection method is used to systematically summarize the contents and characteristics of Quanzhou MSR's culture.Secondly,the theoretical research method and the case analysis method used in the thesis provide theoretical guidance for the design and application strategy in urban waterfront landscape.Thirdly,the organic connection between the MSR's culture and the urban waterfront landscape is analyzed from the research perspective of Quanzhou MSR's culture.Based on the existing theoretical basis,the application principle of urban waterfront landscape design is drawn.The design thinking system of constructing urban waterfront landscape oriented by MSR's culture is proposed from the macro-level,meso-level and micro-level.The MSR's culture is taken as the starting point.The form and connotation of urban waterfront landscape which have better regional characteristics and cultural connotations are explored from culturally oriented perspective.Based on the theoretical basic research and the summary of the MSR's culture,four application principles in the urban waterfront landscape design are obtained,namely the principle of cultural inheritance,the people-oriented principle,the principle of adapting to local conditions and the principle of overall planning.More systematic and targeted design strategies of urban waterfront landscape are explored,,that is,planning the image theme from macro-level,designing the overall layout from meso-level,and expressing the design idea of cultural connotation from micro-level.Finally,through the combination of theory and practice,an empirical analysis on the actual project of waterfront landscape design of the Neigou River in the downtown of Quanzhou is carried out to verify the feasibility of theoretical research results.
