Apart from the translational motion, there are also torsional response when the eccentric structure under earthquake action, thus exacerbating the damage of structure. With the development of technology of energy dissipation damper, viscous damper provide a new approach to seismic isolation technology of eccentric structures. This paper mainly studies the optimization strategy of viscous dampers in the eccentric structure. And the control strategy proposed is verified by shaking table test. The main contents of this paper include:(1) This paper proposes to optimize the layout strategy of viscous dampers based on target control function of displacement angle and displacement ratio weighted combination, in order to verify the effectiveness of the new strategy. In this paper The finite element software SAP2000 is used to Simulated a 8 layer L eccentric frame structure model under different earthquake intensity. It proved that the viscous damper provide damping force only, and it did not increase the stiffness of the structure. And it also proved that optimize control strategy based on a weighted combination of inter story displacement angle and displacement ratio as the objective function is the better than the control effect of traditional control methods.(2) Considering the limit of the size of vibration table and the main study is to verify the effectiveness of viscous dampers for seismic layout optimization strategy, in this paper, by using the vibration of the 1 m×1 m, and a 1/15 of four layers L type eccentric test model was designed. With the finite element software SAP 2000, the different object function based on the arrangement of viscous damper, finite element method, and the response spectrum and time history analysis of the test structure under basic, often encounter or rare earthquake are considered. The effective about that arrangement of different strategies of viscous damper is different for vibration reduction.(3) Shaking table test of the production scale model with organic glass is to verify the validity of the weighted combination of inter story displacement angle and the displacement ratio of the target. The test results compared with the finite element analysis results, finally obtains the damper optimal control strategy, and improve the anti-seismic property of asymmetric structures, provide scientific theory basis and Effective de sign method for the optimal design of energy dissipation of asymmetric structures.In a word, given to the experiment data and the result of theoretical calculation, drive conclusions and put forward the problems to be studied in the future.
