Cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules belongs to regional special soil, the huaibei plain is typical area of cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules. Cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules is a multiphase body that consists of fine (clay and silt),coarse (calcareous concretions),the interparticle pore and the water and air between pore, etc. As a result of the soil particle size, the particle size of calcareous nodules, the content of calcareous nodules,the moisture content and the other factors, its physical and mechanical properties are also quite different. Because the resistivity is closely related to the physical characteristic parameters, using the resistivity testing technology of cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules test should have a significant effect. Resistivity test research has got remarkable achievements in study of other kinds of soil. However, as the soil particles and particle properties,calcareous nodules content, test direction, moisture content,and so on of the cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules,that all have important influence on resistivity characteristics, and the relevance between various influencing factors,makes cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules conductivity becomes extremely complex, the study of the theory of the resistivity is small, which hindered the resistivity testing technology in the calcareous nodules land area of the engineering application of exploration and testing. In this paper,on the basis of collecting, sorting a lot of engineering geological data and related literature of study area, throughing field geological survey and indoor test, model test and theoretical analysis research method, etc, on the resistivity characteristics of cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules in the system of further research.This article through to the large size reshaping cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules samples at the same time of presses slow loading compression test and measuring the resistivity of soil samples.To study the different moisture content and different forms of calcareous nodules, particle size, content and distribution of cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules sample under different pressure the change of resistivity.Analysis of the moisture content and microstructure features of the cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules to affect one of its basic properties that is resistivity factor.Using resistivity test to study the physical and mechanical properties and quantitative study of fine structure of cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules lays the foundation for the future use of cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules.
