The government management departments make traffic management plan and publish information to the residents at the beginning of the road construction. But not everyone can receive the information in advance, and the guiding function of the management plan for specific detour route is not obvious at the same time. Due to the effect of asymmetric information, there two kinds of traffic flow during the road construction. One is affected by the information and the other is not. There is no doubt that the interactions between them increase the complexity of the road traffic flow situation. Therefore, studying the effect of asymmetric information on distribution of traffic flow and exploring the rule of traffic flow distribution with the effect of asymmetric information has a certain guiding role for the formulation of traffic management plan and the later adjustment of the traffic organization.Based on the Open Topic "Research of the traffic organization optimization model in urban road construction areas" of the Intelligent Transportation Research Institute, this paper mainly includes the following contents:1.According to the analysis of the difference of road construction information between traffic managers and travelers, and among the travelers, the content and classification of asymmetric information has been summarized, and its adverse influence on traffic operation during road construction has been shown.2.The peak hours saturation of characteristic signal intersection before and after road construction could be obtained with TransCAD. With the overall service level of intersection does not decline as a convergence condition, the determination method of road construction effective areas has been proposed on the basis of the circle-layer extrapolation.3.The road construction usually causes the growth of travel time. By the introducing of "rejection" coefficient, multipath distribution model has been established during the road construction with the effect of asymmetric information. And the program has been compiled with MATLAB, which calculates and validates that the model can be used to analyze the traffic distribution results that with the effect of the asymmetric information during the road construction.4.Combined with the traffic flow distribution characteristics in the result, two kinds of traffic organization detour inducing method during road construction has been put forward according to the study of "the shortest travel time" and "better roads". The process of release, update, and then release road construction information has been expounded as well. At the same time, the practicality and validity of the established method has been verified by an example.
