With the rapid development of modern industry, the pump more and more applications in various industries, large-scale, high-speed and automation also greatly promoted the development of industries. However, due to the many factors that can not be avoided, the pumps in the process will inevitably be a variety of failure, resulting in reduced or lost its intended function, even cause a serious accident. So, how to detect and eliminate these failures is particularly important. In the traditional manual pumps test systems, a parameter measurement often requires the participation of one or more technical personnel, and the measured period is longer, the efficiency is low. The original data record, and the subsequent processing of the measurement data is easy to bring artificially error, which greatly reduces the accuracy of detection of the water pump.Due to the development of computer software technology, the virtual instrument technology has become the development direction of the test field, using virtual instrument technology can best integration of hardware and software resources, and use powerful computer development for data acquisition, signal analysis, the data processing, storage, etc..Based on actual working conditions, previous experience, and a large number of domestic and foreign literature, using a variety of sensors, NI CompactDAQ data acquisition devices, and NI LabVIEW development platform, I designed the pump noise and vibration test system based on virtual instrument. Through the acquisition, analysis and processing of the pump’s vibration and noise signals, the test system works out the pump vibration intensity, A sound level and Total sound level, which reflect the tested pump’s running state. The test result provides an analytical basis for the subsequent pump failure analysis and fault handling.After verification test, Relative to the raw water pump test system, the system have increased significantly in reliability, accuracy, efficiency and flexibility, and the software interface is beautiful and practical, with higher operability.
