The source of this topic is a specific application project aims to design an embedded power quality analyzer. New technology that using ARM、DSP、FPGA was used in this design. RS485 interface and Ethernet interface was used in this to make a remote communication instrument. While adding a USB interface and SD card interface, historical data was easy to import and export, storage and analysis. This design uses a large-size LCD display, made the human interface friendly and clearly. Linux system software made the instrument more intelligent, but also reduces the difficulty of software design.The paper first introduces the concept of power quality, power quality monitoring instrument development status at home and abroad, and the significance of this study, in-depth study of the principles and algorithms of digital measurement of the main power quality indicators at the same time. On this basis, the overall power quality monitoring device design uses OMAP3530 (ARM DSP) chip as hardware core and embedded Linux as software platform and DSP algorithms as computing core.I am responsible for the man-machine interactive GUI interface design and data processing algorithms and made it a basis for writing thesis as a graduation project. The first chapter introduces the subject’s background, development, research significance and is expected to achieve the functions and indicators. The second chapter describes the main power quality indicators and the basic knowledge involves the software design. The third chapter describes the Maemo SDK development environment for transplantation, embedded Linux systems, the development environment and made a brief presentation about hardware system. The fourth chapter describes the main function of the interface and algorithm design. Chapters V is the sofeware testing of the design. Chapters VI summarize the design.Maemo SDK and CCS-based embedded development environment was build to complete the user interface and DSP software design. Functions was implemented in accordance with the device, tailoring and successfully transplanted embedded linux kernel to the ARM processor; complete programming indicators; designed the human-computer interaction interface (GUI).
