Clinical chemistry analyzer is an obligatory apparatus which iatricaI organizations use todiagnose. It can measure biochemical items such as glucose, cholesterol etc. through analysis onbody fluid like blood. These biochemical items can help clinician to diagnose illness of patients.Clinical chemistry analyzer is important in clinical diagnosis and chemic examination.At the present time, a majority of semiautomatic clinical chemistry analyzers use 8-bitssinglechip as CPU. This situation restricts capabilities of apparatus. This paper introducesembedded system technology to research on clinical chemistry analyzer. An intelligentsemiautomatic clinical chemistry analyzer is designed by using S3C2410A ARM9 EMPU andLinux operating system to build an ARM+Linux platform.Lawbert-Beer Law, the theory of clinical chemistry analyzer, is presented. The nuclearcomponent of clinical chemistry analyzer called photoelectric color comparator is alsomentioned. And the whole structure of clinical chemistry analyzer is explained.Semiautomatic clinical chemistry analyzer is composed of power, clock, reset electrocircuit,memorizer subsystem, liquid lane subsystem, constant temperature subsystem (includingtemperature measurement and control), acquisition of absorbance data subsystem, man-machineinteractive subsystem (including keyboard, touchscreen, LCD and minitype printer) and someother interfaces. The designs of these hardware modules are expatiated in detail.Concerning software development of semiautomatic clinical chemistry analyzer,establishment of cross compiling and debugging environment, transplant of U-Boot, reductionand transplant of Linux kernel, design of Linux device driver, establishment and transplant of filesystem, compiling of application program are explicated detailedly in this thesis.Functions of this clinical chemistry analyzer involve MiniGUI graphic user interface,movement control, temperature control, data calculation, print supervision and SQLite databasemanagement. This new semiautomatic clinical chemistry analyzer can be used conveniently, withhigh performance and low price. It is fit for medium and small medical institutions.
