With the development of urban construction and dramatic increase of population, water shortage problem is becoming increasingly acute. As the important infrastructure of city, water supply project plays a guiding and restricting role in the urban development.Actually, the water supply capacity of purification plant in Changchun city can not research the design scale and the water purification process is difficult to cope with the challenges of raw water quality and strict water standards. From the full use of existing facilities, improving the city’s water quantity, water quality and safety point of view, the reform project is proposed and designed in this paper.The raw water is from Xinlicheng reservoir and the water treatment plant’s outlet implements the sanitary demand of drinking water in drinking water sanitary standard GB5749-2006. The scale has increased to 220,000 m3/d to meet the full capacity.The project is on the basis of analysis of such aspects as structural stability and process planning design of existing major water purification structures. The project includes the reform of conventional treatment, the construction of advanced treatment processes and sludge water treatment system. The problems of existing major water purification structures are that the mixing effect is influenced by water quality and quantity, low efficiency of clapboard flocculating, ordinary rapid filter is difficult to adapt to the change of water quality, filter water distribution is not uniform et al. So the corresponding processes are transformed to mechanical mixing, small network flocculating and flap filter. In advanced treatment process, ozone oxidation and active-carbon filter are adopted. The sludge water treatment system includes, a regulating tank, sludge concentration tank, mud storage tank and a dewatering room. The entire process is raw waterâ†'regulators with wellsâ†' mechanical mixing â†' small network flocculatingâ†' sedimentation tankâ†' flap filterâ†' pumping station â†' ozone oxidation tankâ†' active-carbon filter â†' water tankâ†' pumping station â†' user. The main parameters are determined through the design and calculation of the various structures, followed by the completion of the project.The reform project has effectively improved the water supply capacity of city, ensured the safety of water supply quality, produced good social and environmental benefits.
