Management of the project progress involved in two aspects:the quality and efficiency. Managements of the project progress, the quality of the project and the cost of the project are the three most important elements. The plan and control of the project are the key factors for ensuring the project to be completed on schedule. The estate of Leling Taishan newtown exists many problems, such as the weak awareness of the management, the backward way and method of management, the unsound system and the lack of the full-time staff. Due to the weakness of the management infrastructure, the project was greatly affected. As a result, it was very important for studying the management of the project progress. As a worker of the estate of Leling Taishan newtown, I participated in the plan making and the implement of the specific management project. Consequently, this thesis was mainly focused on studying the related managements of the project progress.In the thesis, by combination of the theory and practice, analysis of the data involved and the literature, the method of the project management progress was deeply studied and discussed with Leling Taishan newtown as the background. Firstly, this thesis gave an overview of theory and method of the management of the project progress. Secondly, this thesis discussed the application of the related theory used in the management of the project progress detailed. Then, the thesis elaborated the control process and the application of the management of the Leling Taishan newtown estate. In the end, the thesis concentrated on the examination of the actual progress of the project. Through examination, we found that there existed some deviations during the operation process. By analyzing the reason of the deviation occurred, we modified the progress plan and improved effectiveness and stability of the project progress.In the thesis, we amplified the theory and method in practice. By using the management software of the project, the managers could easily get the data needed. As a result, their decision-making was supported and resulting the minimum workload. Finally, the efficiency was improved, the process was shorten and the balanced distribution of resources was achieved.
