Traditional intelligent transportation systems are incapable of meeting the development needs of modern transportation with redundant construction, low management efficiency, inaccessible traffic data and other issues. By applying cloud computing technology in the field of transportation to create a unified transportation cloud ecosystem, the intelligent transportation cloud computing platform provides new ideas for the development of intelligent transportation systems. With advantages of cloud computing technology, the intelligent transportation cloud computing platform is to help businesses and governments liberate from endless repetitive work, concentrate on planning and development of traffic without considering detailed computer technology problems, refines the allocation of responsibilities and realizes re-allocate resources to improve resource utilization.In order to solve common problems in the construction of intelligent transportation systems, the thesis offers design and implementation schemes of an intelligent transportation cloud computing platform by the integration of existing cloud computing technology. Main contents of this paper are listed as follows.1. The design and implementation of backstage management platform. The backstage management platform employs a ‘master- slave ‘structure. Commands are distributed through the central control node and executed at node clients on the cloud platform. In this paper, cfdo and dsh act as the node clients and the central control node, respectively. Meanwhile, a detailed implementation scheme is demonstrated.2. The design and implementation of an application architecture. This paper presents an application architecture design scheme of a traffic cloud platform based on Cloud Foundry and divides the application into intelligent transportation applications and core transportation applications. This paper presents the hierarchical and calling relationships and three models for inter-communications between the two applications. The three models are based on HTTP requests, an enterprise service bus and asynchronous message queues, respectively.3. The design and implementation of extended services. Two design and implementation schemes of extended services are proposed in this paper, i.e., traffic data service based on metadata and HBase service. In addition, the paper demonstratesthe architecture and implementation of both services and describes the creation and deleting process.4. The design and implementation of the automated deployment management platform. Iaa S worked as the underlying support in the improvement of the intelligent transportation cloud computing platform and was used to provide server management support for the transportation cloud computing platform and design the domain structure in the management of the platform. A detailed and specific realization and tools preparation process of a transportation cloud automated deployment management platform based on v Sphere is elaborated in this paper.To conclude, this paper presents design ideas of an intelligent transportation cloud computing platform based on Cloud Foundry. Furthermore, ideas and implementation schemes of back stage management, application architecture, extended services and automated management in the construction of a platform are also demonstrated. The research is to contribute to the design of intelligent transportation systems through the integration of existing cloud computing technology.
