With the rapid development of modern air traffic control technology, the TIS-B will become the main development direction of the future air traffic control. TIS-B is a kind of ground station service, it can share the air traffic information received by ground station to the aviator in the air. Then the aviator can learn his flight environment intuitively from the air traffic information. In this case, the distance between the aircraft can be reduced to raise the utilization ratio of airspace resources. In the case of a collision, the aviator can take the best avoid hitting scheme based on the air traffic information. Thus the TIS-B makes flying safer, and it is an important stage in the development of air traffic control.This thesis mainly studies basic principle of the key TIS-B digital processing algorithm, which mainly includes the filter algorithm, frame head detection algorithm, extraction of bit and error correction algorithm. In order to obtain better processing performance, in this paper, the algorithms are improved on the basis of the traditional algorithm. Finally,use FPGA and other hardware to realize TIS-B system, and then test performance of TIS-B system.The research content is as follows:1. In order to improve the signal to noise ratio, this paper has studied a method of autocorrelation filtering, this method is good enough to filter out the noise in the signal, and does not destroy the signal pulse shape. This method brings convenience to the subsequent processing.2. In order to reduce the influence of signal pulse shape on the signal detection performance, this paper has studied a detection method based on cross-correlation, the detection method does not require the signal pulse with steep pulse edge. This method can detect frame head, as long as the energy of signal pulse is greater than the noise, thus it can greatly improve the performance of detection.3. In order to improve the reliability of the TIS-B system, this paper proposes a method of error correction. This method can correct 8 bit even more errors, which can greatly improve the reliability of the system.
