In order to meet the requirements of development of smart grid better, the requirement of data collection and analysis is very large, which requires the dispatch center strong. At present, the grid system becomes a main obstacle for smart grid development process and development experience. With the constant development of internet and computer technology and the improvement of the long distance power transmission equipment and system technology, the coverage of power system can be an entire country, even several countries. In this situation, the scale of the power system continues growing. With the development of the power system, the security assessment, operation and control of the system become more and more difficult to control, but the size and structure of the power system develop more and more complicated. With the development of the power system, the power system develops intelligently and smart grid comes out. Smart grid has several features: 1. System has self-healing, which could resist from attack from outside. 2. Supporting distribute smart grid and renewable energy power system. 3. The power system is also more and more reliable. 4. Could make smart grid be operated more and more fairly and efficiently. 5. More and more users participate in the smart grid.With the development of the computer and improvement of network technology, the monitoring and control of the power system, which uses computer software and hardware technology, becomes the indispensable technological. Cloud computing is the development of computer and network technology, which is constantly updated and developed. This technology will be used to integrate wide area heterogeneous computing resource. In this background, this thesis uses Hadoop cluster management technique proposed by Google to realize the monitoring of smart grid, which can guarantee the massive data on the smart grid.This thesis uses the method of cloud storage technology to analyze the requirement of the smart grid. According to the business needs, this thesis designs the model and realizes the prototype system. The experimental results show it is necessary and realizable to solve the problem of development trend of smart grid. At the same time, this study also provides an effective direction for the development of smart grid, but also provides new ideas and methods for monitoring the development of smart grid. The results show it is a good way to monitor the mass data in the smart power grid.
