With the development of electronic technology, filter connector has been used more and more widely. The tubular ceramic capacitors has excellent electrical properties and its structure of the inner and outer electrodes very suitable for installation in the connector, so it has been widely used in filtering connector as the core filter element. As the extent and complexity of filter connector increased, it requires tubular ceramic capacitors has better quality, dimensional accuracy and resistance to environmental stress. At the same time, With the increasing market demand the existing production process can not meet the requirements.At present, the manufacturing method of tubular ceramic capacitor is mainly extrusion molding method in china. This method has many disadvantages, such as long cycle, small product, poor quality etc. In this paper, we compared the advantages and disadvantages between different manufacturing methods, and prepared tubular ceramic capacitors by dry pressing method. Tubular ceramic capacitor has the advantages of high precision, good quality consistency prepared by dry pressing method. And compared with the traditional method, dry pressing production cycle and yield are improved obviously. The study of this paper includes:1. Compared the advantages and disadvantages between different manufacturing methods, and studied on the effect of dry pressing process parameters on the performance of tubular ceramic capacitor. The result shows that tubular ceramic capacitor has the advantages of high precision and strength, good quality consistency prepared by mold dry pressing method. And mold dry pressing production cycle and yield are improved obviously.2. Studied the effect of material properties of ceramic powder on the performance of tubular ceramic capacitor. These effects include: effect of ceramic powder morphology on the apparent density, effect of pressure on green body density, effect of green body density on the performance of tubular ceramic capacitor. The result shows that the apparent density of apple shaped power maximum. And the optimum density of green body is about 4.14g/cm3.3. Study on the effect of mold characteristics on the performance of the tubular ceramic capacitor. These characteristics of mold include: material and finish. The result shows that mold surface roughness has great influence on the dimensional accuracy of the tubular ceramic capacitor.
