With the continuous development of modern automobile technology, auto-body electronic control model has become an important component in modern automobile electronic control model. Its automatic control degree not only determines the value of the automobiles, but also directly affects the operational performances of the automobiles such as dynamic property, economical efficiency, security and comfort, etc.For years, traditional automobile electrical appliances such as storage battery, starter, electric generator and automobile lamp, etc. have played an important part in automobile electrical and electronic control model, and have played an important role in the development process of automobiles. However, with the rapid development of automobile electronic technology and automobile electronic control technology, and with people’s constantly increasing requirement on the automobiles’ performances such as comfort and security, etc., auto-body electronic control technology is applied to modern automobiles more and more widely. As a result, auto-body electronic control technology is increasingly improved. The level of auto-body electronic control technology has become an important symbol for measuring the technological level and advanced level of automobiles. The competition among the major automobile companies in the world reflects in the completion in body electronic control technology to a great extent.BCM(BODY CONTROL MODEL) is a control model for realizing the humanization, comfort, convenience and some security of the body electric equipment. It involves in control for vehicle anti-theft, indoor and outdoor lamplights, power window, windscreen wiper washing, wiper, central locking, RKE, horn, scuttle, seat and rearview mirror, etc.; some body control model also has the function of network management. Body control technology includes three ways: decentralized, centralized and distributed(bus). Currently, the domestic vehicle models adopting decentralized BCM mainly include economy car; middle and top grade cars mostly adopt distributed BCM. A current development trend is that distributed BCM is also gradually popularized to economy cars. There are few vehicle models adopting centralized BCM domestically. The wide popularization and application of distributed body control technology expands new potential market for the development of BCM industry.To increase and promote the level of the body control model of domestic economy cars, this paper, starting from the fundamentals of body control model, analyzes and discusses the hardware design, core component selection, bottom-driven, design for logical function of the application layer for the model. Based on this, the test bench for body control model is designed. Currently, this model has been installed on Huatai B35 vehicle, and related debugging and test have been carried out.
