The communication protocol IEC61850 represents the latest tendency of SA technology applied in the power sector. It is also the key to building a intelligential and digital substation.This thesis mainly discusses the way to modeling the structue of substation’s DC power system on the basis of IEC 61850 standard. Author modified and added some supplemental information into the original logical defination of the standard in order to make the digital model more easier to reflected the particular manipulative function and feedback of DC supply system’s equipment.Considering the potential DC power failure happened during the master-slave switching process on the DC bus, available solution for avoiding this condition is to force the entire switch process dominated by sequential control procedure, by which can also interrupt the process at any time in case the power failure. Using either MMS or GOOSE/SV communication service, All the involved commands can delivered from remote controler to the relevant switchers. The IEC 61850 standard’s entry into the substation DC supply system will decrease engineering difficulty in making extra room for electrical inter-lock circuit and realizing device’s inter-linking operation. It is also lead to reduction of repeated expenditure.One of the achievement of this thesis is the detailed design of logical procedure related to “Control with enhanced security” state machine defined by standard, the combination of three logical segments involved into the decision-making for switcher’s remote control and interlock operation,in which also reveals the interconnection among the components of virtual model. Author also provide the scheme of DC protective device to support this virtual control mechanism.This method is proven to be qualified for the security of DC power supply as well as the integrity of datagram.
