Research Of The Ancient Town Construction Based On Cultural Protection

Based on the traditional culture protection and the research status of domestic and foreign cultural ancient towns, the paper analyzes its advantages and disadvantages during the historical development. Besides, it also explores the geographical and cultural characteristics of ancient towns and proposes the necessity of integrating ecology, culture, fusion and innovation concept into the ancient town culture and architecture and planning in Nanyue district. It is suggested that a series of principles,such as adaptation to local condition, ecological priority, sustainable development, combination of short and long term, as well as combination of theory and practice, should be put forward. The paper propose a plan of continuing the city axis, creating the city portal and improving the city function, so as to strongly control and develop the planning of the city. The overall control include planning orientation, objective, structure, land planning, overall capacity and building height control, and macroscopically planning and designing.The paper finally takes Nanyue ancient town as an example to make detailed analysis of current condition, economic situation, population status and land use situation, proposing a planning concept and overall control objective for Nanyue district focusing on the unique cultural form and content of Nanyue ancient towns, based on which, the study analyzes the planning and control of city square, land for public facility use, land for business and green space. Meanwhile, the protection and renewal of “three streets” in Nanyue ancient town is also analyzed for showing the unique local culture and exploring the implementation of local culture protection in ancient town planning by street environment improvement, architectural style and detail processing.
