On Landscape Design Planning Of The Old Town In The Context Of Regional Culture

In the course of globalization,the traditional culture has been impacted.With the improvement of the process of urbanization in China,ancient towns have been developed to different extent.The ancient towns have gradually lost their original overall style,traditional culture and folk custom with the development.Thus,the cultural heritage could be inherited and developed.The historical and cultural towns in China also have many problems.For example,the historical building in ancient towns mostly adopts masonry-timber structure,with defect in fire protection.In addition,the structure and facilities of historical building are becoming older and older,which is not suitable for the modern life.And historical streets and lanes are narrow and lack fire fighting access.Meanwhile,the electric circuit and water supply network shall be reconstructed.The walkways and motorways are mixed.At present,how to develop and protect the ancient towns at the same time and maintain them in a overall,ecological and sustainable environment,which is the main research objective of this paper.This paper applies the literature research method and theoretical analysis method.On the basis of synthesizing urbanology,naturology,design science and other theories,this paper has studied the Furong Town in Xiangxi,guided by the protection theory of historical and cultural ancient town and the planning and design theory of ancient town landscape.And field research is also conducted.Firstly,the author summarized the design principles and contents of landscape protection for historical and cultural ancient towns,combined the existing issues and situation of landscape protection of ancient towns in China,based on the analysis of some domestic and international successful and unsuccessful cases.Secondly,the author analyzed the local resources,history and culture,folklore,traditional art,topography and landforms and other elements,and put forward to landscape planning and design ideas suitable for the history and culture of Furong Town,through collecting some laws,regulations and policies related with domestic ancient town protection;at last,based on the requirement of sustainable development,the author concluded the practical case of landscape protection planning and design of Furong Town in Xiangxi,by focusing on the overall planning and design idea of protecting and developing ancient towns hand in hand.
