With continuous mining as well as the extensive use of fossil fuels, has in the world within the scope of a variety of problems. Wind power is one of the most important measures to alleviate these problems. But due to the volatility and stochastic characteristics of wind power output, large-scale wind power grid will cause the grid node and voltage stability of power quality problems. How to improve the stability of the operation of the wind power grid is the key content of later research. Especially the study of wind power grid voltage fluctuation caused by crew will become increasingly important.This article mainly discusses the doubly-fed asynchronous wind turbine grid voltage fluctuation, caused by interconnection of doubly-fed wind power unit modeling and theoretical analysis are done on the wind turbine output power fluctuations are the root causes of the wind power grid voltage fluctuation. For the wind generator can cause fluctuations in the output power of wind speed and wind turbines for change, tower shadow effect, the influence of the external power grid failure factors such as theory analysis and simulation verification, and the size of the voltage fluctuation caused by various factors compare, find out the main cause of voltage fluctuation. Due to produce voltage fluctuation is the main mechanism of the power’s volatility, carried out on the wind farm reactive power compensation can effectively inhibit wind power grid voltage fluctuation, this article through to different reactive power compensator SVC and STATCOM device, such as the system comparison chose a relatively economic efficient solution of reactive power compensation is adopted to reactive power compensation for wind farm with STATCOM. And expounds the working principle of the STATCOM and the establishment of the model. At last, through the MATLAB simulation software simulation result shows that the fluctuations in the power of the wind farm and branch, STATCOM based on the wind farm reactive power support, the change of the stability of the power fluctuation, in turn, to a certain extent, suppress the voltage fluctuation.
