The Internet of vehicle is one of the focus demonstration project consisted in the "Internet of Things " the twelfth five-year " development plan". In the future the Internet of vehicle set up a data communication net for vehicles, pedestrians and roads to share nodes data in real time to build intelligent transportation systems. Vehicle Telematics System is the communication interface between vehicles and the vehicles network. It is possible to provide the owners a wealth of traffic safety, fault diagnosis, entertainment, road navigation, Internet news and other functions. The vehicle information collection system module based on vehicle networking is designed in this paper. Vehicle terminal platform used in conjunction to provide data support for building a complete vehicle networking systems.Firstly, Communication protocol from OBD-II diagnostic system is studied in the paper. Based on the SAE J1850, K-line, CAN bus three different bus technologies from the diagnosis communication protocol physical layer and data link layer is studied respectively, cleared the physical requirements of vehicle self-diagnosis communication data transmission medium and the data of the vehicle from the vehicle self-diagnosis communication transmission format. The application layer protocol from the vehicle diagnostic system is studies, including vehicle fault diagnostic interface standard, vehicle fault diagnostic mode, the vehicle fault codes mean, to lay the foundation for vehicle information collection.Secondly, he vehicle information collection system based on vehicle networking module of hardware circuit and the corresponding software program is designed in the paper. Vehicle information collection system module main control unit S12 series uses high-performance 16-bit microcontrollers, using ELM327 as the protocol converter chip. Control unit minimum system module, Bluetooth module, OBD data acquisition module, vehicle status identification module hardware circuit and the corresponding software program are designed.The last paper of each module design were carried out tests. Tests showed that the function of each module can be achieved. On this basis, do simulation and real vehicle test, the test showed that the overall system functionality to meet the design requirements, to achieve the expected goals.
