With the improvement of the increasing number of car ownership, accidents occur frequently has become a serious social problem. Through the research, we can find that abnormal road parking and lacking of information exchange usually lead to traffic accidents easily. Therefore, these accidents will be reduced or even be avoided has important theoretical significance and application value to keep traffic safety.The traditional method is opening the "double flash" light to give the near normal vehicles alert when it parking abnormally. However, there are many security risks with this method. For instance, it is hard to find the abnormal parking vehicle if the driver’s vision is blocked. Thus, it leads to accidents easily. The paper aimed at this problem from the active road safety, Road Abnormal Parking Warning System(RAPWS) is researched and developed.When the vehicle is abnormal parking, it is the information publisher. Car RAPWS obtains the information of your own car’s latitude and longitude by GPS technology and parking information were sent by wireless communication module; Normal vehicle is playing the role of the real time information receiver. RAPWS gets the position of itself and parking information. After the main controller algorithm, intelligent voice and LCD touch modules broadcast out the location between the two vehicles and parking information respectively in the form of voice and text. In that way, passengers can make an early awareness of the front abnormal vehicle in many ways. In RAPWS, two more functions are also provided: the function of vehicles meeting at the corners and emergency avoidance. Thus the system can make the vehicles meet safely and ensure the smooth flow of road as soon as possible.On the basis of RAPWS won the second national prize of the 9th Chinese graduate electronics design contest in 2014. By testing scene and data analysis, we can found that this system can play auxiliary warning information in advance to provide security for passengers. And thus can reduce traffic accidents generated effectively.
