Study On Traffic Safety Of Urban Parking

As part of the urban traffic system, study on traffic safety of parking would advance whole traffic safety in the city and increase the level of services. From the perspective of safety, existing problems of parking lots are analysis, and a parking safety evaluation system is established which makes sense for parking planning, design and management.Based on discussion on parking lot safety problem, this paper use the principles and methods of systems engineering, to analysis security risks and harmful factors in parking lots, and estimate the possibility of the damage, in order to develop preventive measures and provide a scientific basis for management decisions.In this paper, fuzzy mathematical theory is applied to the evaluation of safety. A comprehensive evaluation system is proposed to estimate parking safety. Taking into account of various factors, this paper sets up a comprehensive safety index system.Based on weighted factors, AHP calculation is conducted to make determination of curves, ramps along entrances and exits of parking lot, and parking space layout, traffic signs and so on. Utilizing fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, this paper achieves more scientific and accurate evaluation of the status of parking safety purposes.This paper illustrates the parking safety analysis with an example. According to problems existed; suggestions are proposed to improve the parking safety level. Hope that this study can be used for reference in practice.
