Transport carbon emissions is one of the three major components of urban carbon emissions, car is the highest mode of transport in the carbon intensity. To explore the spatial distribution regulation of car carbon emissions can help to control car carbon emissions and transport carbon emissions, build a low-carbon travel environment and traffic system. This paper will make Xi’an as an example, car carbon emissions as an object, creating a method that based on the urban traffic model to calculate the car carbon emissions, according to the urban traffic model of Xi’an and the 2012 spatial planning and low-carbon Xi’an questionnaires, using CUBE and ArcGIS software to deal with the based data, checking the results from the traffic model, and calculating the car carbon emissions in Xi’an. Then, analyzed the spatial distribution regulation of car carbon emissions in Xi’an by choosing different analysis unit from the micro subject and the macro subject, explored the car carbon emission trajectory, mastered the relationship among the urban spatial parameters, urban traffic parameters, macro subject parameters and car carbon emissions.Through analysis of the spatial distribution regulation of micro subject car carbon emissions, we find that the spatial distribution of the micro subject’s car carbon emissions is not balanced and the gap is not obvious. Few micro subject made a big contribution to the car carbon emissions. Family with different income, car-traveler with different gender, age, profession and degree, car carbon emissions have different distribution regulation.Through analysis of the micro subject car carbon emissions trajectory, we find that the micro subject car carbon emissions in the first ring is less than the average of the survey sample, and other areas have more car carbon emissions than the average of the survey sample. This is partly related to the travel distance, with the increase of travel distance, the car carbon emissions is also increasing. But analyzing the car carbon emission factor and trajectory of travelers, the closer the trajectory to the city center, the higher car carbon emission factor and the car carbon emissions the traveler have.Through analysis of the spatial distribution regulation of macro subject car carbon emissions, we find that in the OD point, using the ring unit, the zones’ car carbon emissions of the peak hour is not equal. The high point occurs between the first ring and the second ring, and in the out of third ring. In the network, using the ring unit, the closer to the city center, the higher car carbon emission factor car have; using the road grade unit, the arterial and secondary roads’ car carbon emission factor is lowest, and the slip roads’ car carbon emission factor is highest; the arterial roads’ car carbon emission is biggest, the secondary and slip roads’ car carbon emission is least.Through the establishment of a linear regression model and found that the density of population, land use diversity, the density of network are the most significant impact factors to the car carbon emissions in Xi’an. And Xi’an car carbon emissions is direct ratio with the density of population, land use diversity, it is inverse ratio with the density of network.Through analysis of the macro subject car carbon emission trajectory, we find that with the ring increase, the car carbon emission of zones is increasing. The travel path among the zones in the first ring is only distributing in the first ring, and the car carbon emission is also distributing in the first ring; the travel path among the zones between the first ring and the second ring is distributing in the first ring and the second ring, the car carbon emission is also distributing in the first ring and the second ring, but there is more car carbon emissions in the first ring than in the second ring; the travel path among the zones in the second ring is distributing in the first ring and the second ring, the car carbon emission is also distributing in the first ring and the second ring, but there is more car carbon emissions in the second ring than in the first ring.Comparing to the researches of transport carbon emissions in other cities from other scholars, the results of this paper acceptable and the method is reasonable. This paper combined the urban traffic model and the car transport carbon emission model to calculate the carbon emissions, and analyzed the complete distribution characteristic of the car transport carbon emissions, these are not taken into account and applied in other researches.
