Asphalt maintenance machine can fully competent the road disease with great speed and high quality, and improve the qua lity of highway maintenance, with less cost,as well as the manual labor, ensure the road is clear.The paper studies a new heating and mixing drum of asphalt road maintenance vehicle, and analyzes its silo structure, mixing function, discharge systems and the silo heating insulation. The silo using a drum-type structure, with the internal helical blades welded, in order to realize the function of mixing mixture at clockwise, discharge at counterclockwise; The discharge system uses a screw feeder, to preve nt mix segregation; The drum uses the infrared radiation heating method, and set insulation layer between the drum and the shell to achieve the thermal insulation of the asphalt mixture. This design also designed a hopper to facilitate the recycling of the old asphalt pavement materials, it is energy saving and environmental protection.Simulation on the heating process of asphalt mixture via Fluent, the 3D analysis model of asphalt mixture was established, the heating efficiency and heating uniformity of asphalt mixture was analyzed. It provides basis for the design of enterprise product.
