The heating process of asphalt has great influence on the performance of asphalt pavement. At present, there is a wide range of heat conductive oil asphalt heating method, which has the problems of uneven distribution of asphalt temperature, dead angle and easy aging of asphalt. In order to solve these problems by theoretical analysis, computer simulation analysis and the measured data, the combined method, for heating asphalt tank of thermodynamic simulation, the heating tank mixing equipment was used to optimize, achieve high efficiency, low energy consumption, energy saving and emission reduction effect. The main research contents are as follows:The heating mechanism of asphalt heating tank with heat conducting oil as heating medium is analyzed, and the heat transfer effect is considered. The mathematical model is established by considering the effects of heating equipment and asphalt self properties. Using PROE to build the model of asphalt fluid and related heating equipment in asphalt heating tank, ICEM software is divided into grid, FLUENT is simulated by temperature field, and TECPLOT is used for post processing. Through the simulation of temperature field in asphalt heating tank, the distribution of temperature field is observed and analyzed, and the temperature distribution is compared with the measured temperature distribution.Considering the heating efficiency, bitumen quality, energy saving and emission reduction factors, research and analysis of the several stirrers arrangement and control of asphalt temperature field and flow field, get a most reasonable layout. The experimental result shows that the improved asphalt temperature homogenization degree.
