Remanufacturing as an advanced repair technology, can be used to develop and use the value of waste products, makes the scrapped parts back into use, and the service life of repair parts longer than the original. Remanufacturing laser cladding technology, with a small heat-affected zone, high precision, combined with good performance, etc., has significant advantages in the repair parts.Ring mold is an important component of the particle formation process, the ring mold failures directly affect the normal operation of the pellet mill. Due to poor working conditions, chalking material on the abrasive wear ring mold, resulting in ring mold life is short, easy to wear, and the traditional means of porous parts were difficult to repair. With the development of laser cladding technology, is expected to provide a ring mold repair solution.This paper discusses the application of laser cladding technique in the ring mold repair, from the perspective of numerical simulation and experimental study of the inner wall of the ring mold damage mechanism and remanufacturing laser cladding technology. The main contents are as follows:By ANSYS software, numerical simulation from the perspective of the particles in the ring mold molding process stress and strain fields were simulated and analyzed, obtained during extrusion material on the inner wall of the ring mold maximum stress positions, strengthening the inner wall of the ring mold and remanufacturing basis.Through analysis of a variety of laser cladding powder and the hard phase, prepared HM-1 and HM-2 ceramic alloy powder, using high-power semiconductor laser cladding technique, 45 steel cladding surface experiments, changing the process parameters to prepare good effect cladding. Its microstructure analysis and micro-hardness analysis derived properties of two ceramic alloy powders from the microscopic point of view.By plasma welding method on 45 steel surface preparation HM-1 and HM-2 cladding layer, combined with laser cladding test block, comparative study of four process for impact toughness and tribological properties from the experimental point of view, obtaining two kinds of ceramic cladding alloy powder strengthening effect.Based on the characteristics of laser cladding technology, put forward two methods to repair parts containing porous surface, and then design a ring mold tooling fabrication, and develop specific remanufactured laser cladding process steps.
