Road lighting is important part of urban public facilities, but now most of city street li ghting use the traditional lighting-control mode, which takes the artificial patrol as an only way to manage and maintain, also is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Though the light ing mode of Full Nightlights Constant Illumination is able to make adequate illumination a t night, yet it has wasted much more power resources. As the environmental pollution is get ting worse, energy is decreasing, electricity supply problem is also worsening, the tradition al lighting-control mode is not in line with the requirements of energy conservation and en vironment protectionFor the defect of traditional lighting-control mode, the thesis introduces the intelligent street lighting-control mode, applying Zig Bee and GPRS technology combined with LED lights,which is based on the relative study at home and abroad. The thesis began with the development and current situation of intelligent street lighting-control system in the world and the research purpose. According to the characteristics of city lighting system, it designs a street lighting-control center, monitoring the whole project of sub-stations and street lighting-control terminals. GPRS long-range wireless communications technology is used between street lighting-control center and sub-stations, and Zig Bee short-range wireless communications technology is used among sub-stations, lighting-control terminals and the terminal master control. he study can be applied in systematic routing group, in which network setup and connection process between Zig Bee and GPRS are analyzed in detailed way. Relative hardware circuitry is designed, and light detection circuit can automatically control the lights according to changes in ambient light intensity; LED dimming circuit can change the mode according to different lighting needs; when the street lights break down, control terminal can check circuit by voltage and current, then feedback the information to the staff for timely maintenance; after midnight, there is fewer vehicles, Radar detection circuit is set to work; when no person or vehicle passes, automatic-control lights become dimmed; when someone or vehicle passes, automatic-control lights return to the original brightness. This way can ensure the scientific lighting, as well as save energy effectively. or the design of system software, it takes the communication between street lighting-control center and sub-stations as a major project. And C # is used to write an excellent software. The remote-control of street light is achieved, also can monitor warning lights.
