In the past few decades, theoretical study on how to reduce construction waste emissions has gradually matured. However, in actual operation, in China, for example, the vast majority of construction waste was transported to the countryside or rural areas, and people used open dumps or landfills manners without any treatment. Most of the construction waste consists of non-renewable resources, and how to achieve construction waste minimization and recycling through efficient management has become a worldwide research focus. BIM model integrates a large number of building information, which have a very large potential functions in building demolition process. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a construction demolition waste Decision-making Management system. By using the Decision-making and Management system, it will be possible to achieve efficient management of demolition waste, increase recycling of de-construction waste, reduce demolition waste disposal costs, reduce pollution caused by demolition waste on the environment and achieve sustainable development.Firstly, the research object and scope of the study have been defined. The relevant literatures, for the content of the paper involved in the construction waste management, BIM technology, Decision-making and Management system, etc. were carefully read and analyzed. For the phenomenon that construction waste management difficulties exist in the building demolition, the thesis puts forward an idea that establish a Decision-making and Management system for de-construction waste based on BIM technology. Then through analyzing the requirements of basic technology and needs of practical technology for Decision-making and Management system, the thesis provides the use of BIM technology’s IFC standardized data exchange format to achieve seamless transfer of data. The use of BIM technology makes it possible for the building demolition stage to share the same data source of design, operation and maintenance BIM model. The use of BIM technology not only eliminates the need for estimated construction waste emissions and emissions of the type, but also reduces the errors and improving efficiency of the decision-making management. The analysis of IFC data model’s structure, content, and representations shows that: Using IFC data model and database development technology enables the basic information of construction waste’s classification expression. On the basis of BIM technology, Microsoft Access database, VBA programming language and the SQL database query language, this thesis realizes the use of Decision-making and Management system for demolition waste’s development and design. Finally, a case study was conducted in the Decision-making and Management system for construction waste. The application results show that the Decision-making and Management system get through all aspects of information channels of construction waste management and improve the efficiency of the recycling of construction waste. Combined BIM technology with database development technologies not only extends BIM technology from building design and construction phase to demolition stage and improves the utilization of Building Information Modeling, but also reduces the difficulty of the work in the urban renewal construction waste management activities and improves the accuracy and efficiency of demolition waste decision making management.
