In recent years, Along with the popularization of IOT in smart grid, especially in the transmission and substation, on-line monitoring and entire life-cycle management of transmission and transformation equipment become the development goal of Internet of power transmission and transformation equipments. IED is used for on-line monitoring and entire life-cycle management of transmission and transformation equipment. Normal operation of IED and communication equipment affect the reliability of on-line monitoring and entire life-cycle management of transmission and transformation equipment. In order to improve the reliability of on-line monitoring and entire life-cycle management of transmission and transformation equipment, on-site supervision and enable fault restoration of IED and communication is need.The research of this paper was supported by National High-tech Research and Development Projects(863). Field monitoring platform for IED and its communication equipment in this paper was realized in Dali transformer substation by Yunnan Power Grid Corporation. As the current power network management system which was Inflexible and complex was not suitable for Internet of power transmission and transformation equipments, a new network management system need to be designed for Dali transformer substation. According to the requirements of the projects(863),the suitable network management technology should be chosen to design for field monitoring platform which applied to Dali transformer substation.In this paper, the requirement analysis including general requirements, functional requirements and performance requirements of field monitoring platform in Internet of power transmission and transformation equipments were made firstly. Secondly, the basic concept and principle of Nagios were introduced which gave technical support for the design and implementation of field monitoring platform. Thirdly, the overall structure and the function modules of field monitoring platform were designed on the basic of system construction goal. Fourthly, the field monitoring platform was implemented in the wireless router designed by ourselves with human-computer interface, and the CPU detection module and wireless router information monitoring module were realized in detail. Finally, the functions of field monitoring platform were tested to prove the availability. In summary, field monitoring platform in Internet of power transmission and transformation equipments was accomplished.
