As the development of new technology and material, the development of masonry structure goes through from slow to fast. Masonry structure are widespread used in China because of its advantage such as lower cost, the good effect of heat preservation and heat insulation,the construction of blocks is convenient. But many masonry structures were distroied in the Tangshan earthquake and Wenchuan earthquake. According to the reaserch after disaster,the main reason was the lack of seismic fortification of structure. After the Tangshan earthquake, our experts gave advices to enhance the ability of masonry structure to resist the earthquake by using ring beam and constructional column. The measures were effective after a lot of test and inspection of disarster. But the erection problem of templates in the construcion and the complex of construction technology lead to some obstacles in applications of ring beam and constructional column. In view of the issues, the school of civil engineering in Chongqing University suggests the assembly column technology, including core-tie-columns and prefabricated columns. The new assembly column technology has been patented and the seismic behaviour of prefabricated column need to be research in advance.The major research are as follows. Using ABAQUS to simulate a masonry wall restrained by prefabricated columns which was tested by Pseudo-static tests. Analysing the differences of deformation and energy dissipation between the results of test and numerical simulation, the applicability of ABAQUS was guaranteed. To research the design rules of masonry structure restrained by the prefabricated columns, four sets of models were designed by the Code for Seismic Design of Buildings and analyzed by Pushover. comparing seismic behaviour of these models with models restrained by prefabricated columns,which designed as same as constructional columns. On the basis of difference, The improved design schemes were put forward. At last, in oder to obtain all-round understanding about the seismic behaviour of masonry structure restrained by prefabricated columns, a set of models were analyzed by the nonlinear time history analysis. The assessments of behaviour of masonry structure restrained by prefabricated columns include layer displacement, inter-story displacement angle, plastic damage of structure.The major findings were summarized as follows:â‘ The method is feasible in the numerical simulation,in which prefabricated columns could be equivalent to grouted concrete block masonry. According to the results, the restriction effect of prefabricated columns are good, so as to the dissipative capacities, deformation capacities and ductility.â‘¡ The layout scheme of prefabricated columns is more strictly than constructional columns. The improved layout scheme are prefabricated columns encryption and reduce one story.â‘¢ The results of the nonlinear time history analysis indicated that the seismic behaviour of masonry structure restrained by prefabricated columns is good. The deformation of the structure are the same. The inter-story displacement angle was under the limit value. From the balance of capacity, the behaviour of improved schemes were better than the old one, the improved schemes were reasonable. |
