An Interpretation On Wall Technology In Architecture Of The Chinese Eastern Railway

Architecture of the Chinese Eastern Railway is an important kind of architecture in northeast china,in which a variety kinds of walls were used. To meet the functional, heat preservation, aesthetic and rapid construction quirements is necessary for these walls. And also ruassian and chinese architecture culture both applied effects to these walls. Within the limits of the various constraints, the unique Eastern Railway building walls formated. In this paper research is expanded from wall classification, functional properties and applications to wall construction and thermal property hierarchically.Facing variety kinds of walls, its classification is a necessary foundational walls work for conducting in-depth research. in accordance of different construction and materials, these walls can be roughly divided into three categories, masonry walls walls, wooden walls and composite structure style walls. Each category also includes types of different walls, such as masonry walls includes solid masonry walls, hollow masonry walls, the masonry and fill mixed wall... Besides these,there are also other types of walls, such as some new emerging prototype walls, some special property walls and some kind of walls formated after reconstruction or imitation of original walls and so on.Function properties, using manners and numbers of different walls are also different. such as the most widely used masonry walls can be used in small public toilets, railway staff housing, machine garage and flour factory… wooden walls is mainly used in some railway residential buildings and small railway public buildings which is relatively small and low... In the wall construction process, this paper gives a comprehensive studys from three parts,wall structure, wall detail structure, surface decration. In terms of wall thermal property, the article selected a few typical examples were chosen to study by computer simulation analysis method. the main types of walls’ insulation performance was compared to confirm the walls used in Eastern Railway architecture were Scientifically and rationally selected after considerding their advantages and weakpoint on thermal property deeply.
