With the continuous development and progress of space technology, requirements for larger scale and flexibility are becoming more and more demanded in spacecraft. Structure such as solar wing and antenna shows more and more flexible. Under this background, research in dynamic characteristic of flexible attachment in spacecraft has important significance in the development of spacecraft designing. It is usually impossible to performing the simulation test on the ground for these flexible attachments with actual models. Hence, a scale model can be built according to the theory of similarity and take part in the simulation test to simulate the true motion of flexible attachment in spacecraft.Model test can be explained as a research method of simulating actual phenomenon with scaled models under the test condition permit. The theory of similarity has a good theoretical guidance in model test. We can prove the internal rules in physical process of prototypes and significantly reduce test cost by performing model test with scale models which meet certain similarity criterion with prototypes. The theory of similarity plays an important role in establishing a correct contact between scale model and the prototype which satisfy a certain similarity index.This paper did research into dynamic similarity of flexible attachment in spacecraft and the project design of ground simulation test on the base of theory of similarity. The similarity criterions of kinetic parameters between scale model and the prototype of flexible solar wing were derived according to the three main theorems of similarity theory and method of the similarity criterion derivation. The design of scale model of flexible solar panel structure was completed at the demand of the similarity of modal frequency. And dynamic similarity relation between scale model and the prototype was verified by analyzing finite element models with finite element software.On the basis of similarity theory, this paper further complete the simulation text system of spacecraft with flexible attachment design with, including establishing spacecraft simulation system and flexible attachment and interference simulation subsystem. The reliability of the scale model design was also verified by analysis of test data.
