| The concept of low carbon comes from low-carbon economy. In general, low carbon building is referring to reducing energy consumption while guarantying function and comfort level of the building. The research concentrated mostly at the ends of equipment, materials, and technology infrastructure, lack of the study of architectural programming and design of low carbon.In this paper, the primary research subjects are the stadium, natatorium, and we take the chance of Jiangmen-Binjiang sports center’s development and design process to conduct the research of low-carbon design strategy concerning on improving the operational efficiency. The research includes the concept of development, urban planning and the design and technical strategy of the stadium and natatorium. And we proposed the directions and principles on researching low-carbon sports building which are architecture development based on sustainable operations, sports architecture planning based on urban development, sports architecture design based on flexibility and technical suitability.We specifically study the following items under the guidance of low-carbon principle. We discuss the different impact on low-carbon between DBOT and the traditional way of development leaded by government. On the aspect of urban planning, we discuss impact on low-carbon operation on function planning. Specific to the stadium, natatorium, we discuss the design strategy of stadium, site plan, accessory occupancies, inner space and modeling and how it affect the low-carbon operation then try to make some optimization. On the aspect of ventilation and lighting design, we compare different strategies and choose the better one through qualitative and quantitative analysis. We also study how BIM and intelligent air conditioning & lighting system impact on low-carbon operation.We use the project as a carrier to study not only the process of design and optimization but also study the concept of low-carbon on sport building design and induct some design principles to evaluate the strategy and technical method in project development. Meanwhile, we take further steps studying the strategy and technical method to explore the possibilities of optimization. By researching on scheme, planning, design and technology of this project, we summary some low carbon design principles hoping to offer new ideas and tools to make sport building More efficient and low-carbon. |
