| The modern civilized city is continuously developing with refining social division of labor and advancing science and technology. With city spreading, the radius of people’s living is growing up. People’s commuting and goods transportation can’t operate without public traffic. Urban public transportation, as the most important infrastructure to keep city vibrant, has been a necessary of life for people. City transportation is a sign of city development, witnessing the city changing.Rail transit construction alleviates immense traffic pressure during the working day-time, and activates the land development and utilization of the surrounding area. The concept of the combing the development of rail transit hub station with the urban design has caught a high attention, since design of the subway station is closely linked to people’s daily life. Based on the strong support of science and technology and flexible use of architectural design, urban traffic has a tendency to use the underground space to create a convenient transportation environment. The development and utilization of the subway is an important way to push the sustainable development of city and an effective method to solve the problem of urban traffic. As a required element of the urban development, Subway construction which is of huge development potential is very important for the improvement of urban transportation system. Subway station is a core facility of urban public transport system. Reasonable planning and construction of urban rail transit transfer hub complex, especially changing the hub on the ground and underground space stereoscopic development has the significant importance to promote the development of the urban comprehensive transportation system, to strengthen the effective connection of various traffic modes, to improve the comprehensive service level of urban public transportation, to optimize urban environmental quality and promoting regional economic development.This paper takes the subway station as a research object, discussing about the design research of the metro transfer space in the public area(including the station platform, the station hall and entrance space). In views of the characteristics of underground space, the concept of urban environment and traffic function demand, combining human behavior patterns in the space research conforms to study the space design method of the subway station.The thesis mainly consists of four parts. The first aspect, namely Chapter 1, is to propose questions, exploring the value of the research, review and summarize the related theories and research methodology of the issue. After realizing the theoretical significance and the research important points of the issue, the author illustrates the overall framework; the second aspect, namely from Chapter 2 to Chapter 3, is the study of issues, including the analysis of the elements which affect the architectural form of the subway space, and combination of the subway station and surrounding atomosphere, supportting with examples from home and abroad. Through the two big parts, the creative relationship of the cause and the consequence of the subway station space can be understood thoroughly, and the changes of the designing opinion and the reason and the method of enjoying and manipulating import and export architectural forms are discussed; the third aspect, namely Chapter 4, is about the analysis of the problem. With a detailed investigation and analysis of the current situation of subway, which relates the form, space and circulation, the author summarizes feasible practice of the re-shaping of the artistic character of the subway station, proposes optimization strategies, raises the feasible suggestions to the shortages during the research process; the fourth aspect, namely Chapter 5, is the solving the problem. The author proposes the architectural space designing method of subway station to the urban environment, area environment and the construction of the entrance. Moreover, the author also provides some conceptual references on Xi’an subway station, and then proposes further suggestions of the construction of the Xi’an subway.Through those four aspects, the whole thesis complies with the research pattern which consists of global control, detailed observation of and feasible measures, trying to show the design method on the architectural space design of subway station. |
