Study On The Environmental Conservation Of Traditional Hutong In Beijing

The old city of Beijing was built in Yuan dynasty,at the same time hutong textures emerged.Ming and Qing dynasties was built on the basis of Yuan dynasty and began to expand outer city in 1553(Ming Jiajing 32) in order to construct inner and outer urbans,the former also contains two parts.This study is starting on the background of old city protection;Basing on theory and practice research of historical blocks environmental protection in the world;Making the traditional hutong environmental protection in Beijing as a breakthrough point;Interpreting traditional hutong characteristics from the features of hutong environment.Previous theories and works were mostly studied the aspects of hutong form space scale and formation. This paper chooses hutong environment as the research object.First,making a brief introduction of paper selected background and researching status at home and abroad,describing the general situation of Beijing, clearing the relation between old city lay-out and hutong.Running through hutong historical evolution,function,environmental elements,etc.To research and analysis Xianyukou area of this paper from hutong environmental elements:construction interface,decoration,skyline,hutong furniture, landscaping, culture,etc.Analysis the research result of representative hutong in this area,in order to summarize the method of environmental protection from hutong textures, historical features, green space and road system.Summarize traditional hutong environmental protection strategies:combine general layout protection with point and area classified protection of traditional hutongenvironmental;Implement the protection method of regular repairation and micro-circulation reconstruction;Take good advantage of hutong corners in order to add green and resting spaces;Take right attitude towards cultural resources on guild hall and old river, inheriting hutong culture on the basis of protection.All in all,the author hopes this paper research could enrich and complement the theory and practice of traditional hutong protection in Beijing.
