| Under the premise of urbanization, China’s construction industry has also developed rapidly, China’s architects have ample stage, more and more new buildings going up. While the architectural design development, there also have been some problems we have to face, more and more flashy buildings have appeared, mimicry phenomenon also not uncommon. Designers have to face not only the completion of one project, but also to seek innovative design approach in the design.“Evidence-based design†approach originated in evidence-based medicine, through the design of medical rehabilitation environment, the approach introduces to the field of medical architectural design, now it has been widely used. Evidence-based design’s simple definition is “On reflection and effective use of knowledge to improve or enhance the design decisionsâ€; more formal definition is “evidence-based design is a conscientious, explicit, and judicious use of current best evidence process, the evidence from customer decisions to do with research and practice, these decisions and the individual projects related to the design and unique.†This evidence-based design method is more scientific than traditional designs. Evidence-based design focus on the collection of “best evidenceâ€, focus on the exchange and cooperation between designer and client, focus on real-time sharing of research results, these are precisely the lack of China’s architectural design community. Evidence-based design process needs to do scientific research for design "key issues", to guide the design with evidence. This approach not only able to guide designers to design more rational, but also be able to make design and research together closer. This paper firstly study about the field of evidence-based medicine, research the background of evidence-based thinking’s appearing in the medical field, and then extended to the approach from evidence-based medicine to the medical evidence-based architectural design, and points out the importance of evidence-based methods. Through the study of the medical building evidence-based approach, collating and summarizing the steps of evidence-based design, pointing out the difference between evidence-based design and traditional designs in methodological; then further parsing the three key elements of evidence-based design, find out the core of evidence-based design; finally, combing the evidence-based design ideas with foreign design case, extending evidence-based design to more types of architectural designs, pointing out the advantages of evidence-based design. |
