With the development of architectural theory and the development of China’s construction industry, the world’s construction industry continues to move forward, in such circumstances, China’s construction industry for steel building efforts growing concern。 In the "11th five-year" plan that has been completed it as a key development project, and the current focus on steel structure in construction industry in our country discussion and research. In this paper, starting from the theory of steel construction, the overall characteristics of the steel building for analysis and detailed analysis node. The paper separately using SAP2000 and MIDAS structural analysis program on the mechanical properties of steel tower folded under the seismic response analysis, and compared to calculate. Due to folded steel tower is a complex structure, for security point of view, is still carried out frequent earthquake of checking, design uses gravity load representative value, live load and other factors, by the additional mass in the floor of the method applied to consider, SAP2000 in resilient floor shell element simulation, MIDAS using the method of calculation of the elastic membrane, which SAP2000 using Ritz vector iteration method for solving eigenvalue problems, and MIDAS using subspace iteration method for solving eigenvalue problems. The folded steel tower of static elastic-plastic Pushover analysis. First introduces the basic principles and applications of Pushover method describes the basic theory and the means to achieve the capacity spectrum method. Through computational analysis of folded steel tower, performance point of structure collapse mechanisms and structures under earthquake action. Finally, after analyzing the mechanical properties of the overall structure of a typical complex node structure finite element analysis, key nodes through stress map, displacement map and the corresponding data can draw some general significance for a certain structure similar conclusion. These conclusions on the design and analysis of future similar projects provide some reference.
