| Context concept is derived from linguistics, including the context and the context scenarios. American anthropologist Edward Hall said "Any scientific research is inseparable from the context. With the interdisciplinary thinking, no matter the humanities, or the natural sciences, many fields of science agree that thinking mode of "context", especially in the field of contemporary architecture. As we all know that the main trend of architecture design is technological innovation, moreover,there also have a double impact of internationalization and localization, architectural creation have already existed its track in the process of globalization. It has become an important subject of architecture that architect and designer have to use context thinking during the process of architecture creation to associate with both the environment and to shape its own system. Only in that way ―high context‖ will come true. Therefore, independent thinking of context has become one of the leading methods of architectural creation.Since the times enter into the 21 st century, structure performance has become one of the most important basis of the architectural concept and form, with the help of highly rapid of technology development of new materials and new structure. The performance of the structure effectively combines the technology, art and era characteristics. It becomes the important elements of the architectural culture connotation interpret ing and architectural material spatial organization. It can not only support the architectural context, at the same time it also as an important value to contextual creating, which couple back between each other for support and influence.Therefore, this essay based on today’s architectural design stage, and compiled more than 100 instances of architectural creation under the guidance of thinking context to verify my conclusion. The research angle and theoretical basis of this essay is the Creating of Architectural Context, and the research object is the performance of the structure. The author have used philosophical speculations, type of practical research, summary, comparison research, image analysis and other research methods, to tell the structure performance strategies and methods which are based on architectural context creating. The author hopes that the thesis can guide the architectural creation in the future, to construct a high context exchange earth.The whole paper consists of four chapters. First of all, the first chapter puts forward the time background and subject significance of the topic. It analyzed the research status of context and structure performance at home and abroad, besides, it examines the prospects and the necessity of the theme. Secondly, the second chapter discusses the theory. It explains the relevance of the structure performance and the creating of architectural context deeply. What’s more, it finds the causes of the support and value of structure performance for the creating of architectural context, puts forward in the deep relationship of both in spiritual and material level. Then in the third chapter of the essay, it divides context to identity, similarities and differences. And then it tells the logical structure performance in the three modes as strips, fuzzy and abnormity. In the fourth chapter, in the material part, it analysis of the functional, aesthetic and implication of contextual creating demand, the structure form of the specific technique, practical, modification and symbol respectively.
