The motion order of two-stage hydraulic cylinder will be affected by load playing a role of active force when hydraulic cylinder is in the hoisting state.The paper analyzes the concertina motion of the hoisting and horizontal two-stage hydraulic cylinder, puts forward the uniform criteria of judgment of the motion order of the hoisting two-stage hydraulic cylinder,designs a simple hydraulic system including two-stage hydraulic cylinder, models the hoisting two-stage hydraulic cylinder based on the software AMESim, simulates the motion of two-stage hydraulic cylinder under the different load conditions and verifies the analysis results.Scripting language can be used to develop the AMESim software. The research, based on python language, details the setting and development process of AMESim scripting tool. Combing concrete instance, it compares the running results of the script development with that of AMESim simulation mode, which verifies the validity of the script development, summarizes the merit and demerit of the script development and paves a new venue for the script development of the AMESim software.The paper researches the script development of the AMESim based on python language, puts forward the numerical method of solving the maximum load of the hoisting two-stage hydraulic cylinder in the hydraulic system: set the preliminary value, compare the simulation results whether the displacements of the two-stage hydraulic cylinder are equal, adopt "the dichotomy" theory to iterate and in the end seek out the maximum load quickly and paves a new venue for the design of the hoisting two-stage hydraulic cylinder.
