Hydraulic cylinder is an actuator in the hydraulic system. With the development of the society, hydraulic technology is constantly evolving and continuously deepening in various fields. As the hydraulic technology is new and energy-efficient, it has been a growth in the popularity of the society in the recent years. Thus hydraulic equipment,systems, components also should continue to be innovation and improvement. The performance of a hydraulic cylinder system is greatly influenced by its cylinder performance, so that in such hydraulic systems, even if the system is designed accurately and masterly, the operating performance of the whole system would be great influenced,the desired effect not achieves, even the system will not work unless the hydraulic cylinder design well. Therefore, the performance of the hydraulic cylinder is important for hydraulic drive technology.In the system of the hydraulic drive, there will be varying load in the telescopic process of the hydraulic cylinder. In this case, sometimes the prime mover works more but sometimes works less, meanwhile it works unsteadily. In the conventional hydraulic control systems which uses the general hydraulic cylinders, it generates large pressure fluctuations in varying load conditions. For this case, the design of multi-chambers hydraulic cylinders is to achieve the balance of hydraulic cylinder. Based on this to solve the problems of the hydraulic system pressure fluctuations and the prime mover output power fluctuations.Firstly, it is to design the multi-chambers cylinder. In this paper, the piston rod is made into cavities to make the piston rod cater to another cylinder’s body, through the way making the ordinary two-chambers hydraulic cylinder into four-chambers.Secondly, it is to verify the multi-chambers cylinder’s safety performance. Utilizing the ANSYS software to analyze static stability and obtain the cloud of stress and strain.Thirdly, it is to build the model of multi-chambers cylinder by using AMESim software’s HCD module. Building the system’s model, then we make simulation and obtain the curves of the cylinder’s speed and displacement.Finally, it is to design the PLC automatic control system which use the four-chambers hydraulic cylinder as the actuator in the condition of varying load. With sensors and microcomputers, the system can achieve automatic control system in certain conditions.
